§ 1-11. Vertical and horizontal benchmarks.

Vertical and horizontal control markers (i.e., benchmarks) have been set and established throughout the Village. Each of such vertical and horizontal control markers are defined vertically in feet by a United States Geological Survey (USGS) elevation, and horizontally in feet by Illinois State Plane Coordinates which consist of two components, a northing coordinate and an easting coordinate. Each control marker's vertical elevation and horizontal coordinates, and a description and sketch of each control marker's location is included in the Village of Glenview Geodetic Control Marker, Vertical and Horizontal pamphlet, available in the development department.
